a little 'behind the scenes' :D

Editing the finals shots right now... :D  Decided to post some behind the scenes shots of our awesome crew! Check back tomorrow for all the finals from yesterday's shoot! :D
Well I found myself face down in the ditch.
Booze in my hair, Blood in my lips.
A picture of you holding a picture of me
In the pocket of my blue jeans.
Still don't know what love means.

Liz needed some 'smiley' photos for her model profile with her new agency she was recently signed with... hence this fun shoot. I love that although we were just supposed to be taking cheezy portrait type work, we both naturally turn it into something far better.
Tried something different techniques with focus... sometimes I like soft photos as opposed to super sharp ones. (You're thoughts?) TWEET ME

Finally an outdoor shoot, and no one could've made it as effortless as Caitlin and Brad. HELL of a big shout out to you two! :D I've been wanting to shoot something with the 'banana republic' feel to it forever which is why I was ecstatic when Caitlin and I agreed on this concept.
Not totally confident about the last diptych, comment or tweet me and let me know what you think--->  TWEET   /  FBOOK

The most difficult thing for me is a portrait.
You have to try and put your camera between the skin of a person and his shirt.

looks for photoshoots.

Trying to be as organized as possible for my shoots this weekend and putting together looks is one of the hardest parts. Lucky for me, I have some awesome Stylist friends to help pull looks but it all starts with the concepts. These looks are some of my favorite from lookbook.nu and don't forget to visit these fashionista's blogs cuz they're awesome! :D

HAHA. Everyone in this picture looks like they smell like mushrooms and want to hurt me. JK guyz.
It's been a long time since I actually shot photos for fun that wasn't a 'set up' photoshoot. I was mainly just tagging along on ma girl Katie Keighin's shoot. She does loveLy light painting work so check out her BLOG sometime!
Although these photos are CraZy noisy, I kind of enjoy the painterly feel about them :)
ALSO, Lining up some really fun shoots for this week so updated for new fashion work to be posted soon! Enjoy the rest of your weekendZ!
One day I will live in one of these houses.

Breakfast in Bed! ...in the afternoon. suckaz!

Jason Nava Shoot

Had such a blast with Jason and his stylist Bridget shooting this series. Decided to try some different techniques in the studio because it's way too cold to shoot outisde.

flickr favorites

I almost forgot that flickr remembers the photos that I click as my favorites. So great to look back through and see trends and certain photographic styles I really like. These are screenshots of the first page. I seem to really like forests, fog, natural sunset lighting and unusual toning. Reminds me how long it's been since I've shot outdoors.

Terry Richardson for Jimmy Choo.

Terry Richardson is my style icon... and photo icon.

Wow. Never expected I'd do this much studio work. Maybe due to the foot of snow and negative degree temperatures it seems like a much better place to shoot. Either way, this shoot was so fun and Jason is an awesome model. Plus Bridget's stylings made the shoot flow effortlessly.
PS, you know the lady who survived the titanic? I'm shooting in her restored house tomorrow. Stay updated for the rest of Jason Nava's edits and the new shoot. So excited to shoot out on location again ! :D
