Leave it to Franca to push the boundaries of un-realistic editing. Perhaps this is a new movement in terms of fashion and how it is viewed. The inspiration behind the cover was Ethel Granger (1905-1982) who has the world record for the smallest waste of 33 centimeters. (An unhealthy goal to be striven for, yet everyone knows Stella Tenant has a waste bigger than 33 centimeters) So how does this affect the viewer? With an over-manipulated image like this being so far from reality, is this the start of Surrealism in fashion photography? thoughts?
